Fished in early September at Eyebrook from 10am to 4pm, is the only day out that is limited to Full members. The competition is fished to International Rules to determine the team to represent England in the forthcoming International Match against Scotland, Ireland and Wales. This is usually in the following June.
The Rules state that all flies used MUST fit the international gauge for hook size and overall size including any dressings used, with no added weight, and fishing is done from a moving boat. The members weigh in at the end of the day and the team is made up of the top 8 bag weights (7 members and 1 reserve). Following the proceedings regarding the fishing, we hold the EDFF AGM at the lodge at Eyebrook.
Non full members can fish on this day but wont be entered in to the competition to fish for the international .
