Your rod can be custom built to your personal specification, which includes virtually any colour rod varnish, whippings and rod bag you may want. About the only part of the whole rod outfit that is not supplied by themselves or locally is the cork for the handle. The latest claim to fame is the winning of the Men’s and Lady’s Tournament Casting Championships in Spey-O-Rama at San Francisco. English Disabled Flyfishers are proud to have been associated and sponsored by them for over 20 years. Each fully disbled member, who newly qualifies for the England Team, receives a ‘Powerlite’ trout rod, hand built to their specification, from the company as their reward.

The company provides a lot of support to the disabled community, and has been a sponsor of the EDFF for nearly 20 years. The Sponsorship started with the late Peter Willan, MD of the company joining as an associate member, and eventually sponsoring our day afloat in June every year, when fishing is only done with Floating Lines, hence the name of the day out. The company also sponsors the Team and Official Team Helpers Fleeces for use at the International Competitions, and has done so since 2014. We are proud and honoured to have them as one of our main sponsors.

The 400 acre water is a mature stream fed reservoir with 5 miles of easily accessed bank, and a charm and abience normally associated with smaller waters. Good water levels are maintained all year round, even in the driest of summers the average depth is 17ft, maximum depth 45 ft.
Renowned for its nymph sport and top of the water action, the water responds well to traditional fly fishing techniques. The waters are well stocked with Rainbow, joining the Native Brown Trout. No other water sports are permitted at Eyebrook, you are guaranteed peace and tranquillity to enjoy your fishing.
Tata Steel no longer runs the fishery side of the reservoir, this is now under the management of Fishery Management(UK) Ltd., which also has Draycote Water and Foremark and Thornton Reservoirs under it’s wing. All four fisheries are overseen by Ifor Jones, who has a lifetime’s experience running stillwater trout fisheries.
The Wheelyboat Trust is a national charity dedicated to helping disabled people access waterborne activities on equal terms with their able bodied counterparts. More than 150 Wheelyboats have been supplied by the Trust with the majority being used on stillwater trout fisheries.
While it helps public waters, groups and organisations acquire Wheelyboats for a wide range of activities, the Trust was originally set up to help disabled anglers, a role that remains very much at its heart. Of the four Wheelyboat models its supplies, two are purpose-built GRP fishing boats with roll-on, roll-off wheelchair access for rivers and stillwaters’.
